With CyberPatriot coming up in September, there is no better time to start practicing than now! Windows 11 is always the initial primary focus due to its friendlier interface and ability to ease beginners into the process of CyberPatriot images. As we dive into these images we plan to have all members grasp their strengths, weaknesses, and hone their skills in order to maximize the scores received during the competition. Each image every year tends to have a different theme as well so that is always exciting to look forward to when doing images like these!
Thanks to the field guides created and provided by Mr. Smith these images should be much more of a breeze! Windows 11 images contain forensic questions like any other and directs its focus on much more Windows 11 specific elements. For example, Windows 11 images heavily implement the Windows run to bring up crucial variables in the competition such as security policies, password policies, users and groups policies, and event viewer.
It is very important to check your understanding of these unique elements as they are what distinguishes Windows 11 images from other images and allows you to reap the most points from the image itself as other aspects can be similar on other images. Our club members did very well on these images with some even scoring hundreds which is something we hope to see during competition and hopefully on our Linux images next week as well. Until then, things are looking great! See you next week and be sure to study up!
