2019 Alumni Andres Barrera

Andres Barrera is an Oak Hills Alumni and Alumni of the IT Essentials Program, and current Associate Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman. Andres studied at Cal Poly Pomona, Class of 24′ with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering.

Visting Oak Hills High School

On Friday, October 25, 2024 Mr. Barrera visited his alma mater to present to Mr. Smith’s classes about his involvement in the IT Essentials program instructed by Mr. Smith and how it set him up for success.

During his visit, he talked to the IT Essentials classes about the skills that the program taught him and how he was able to apply them in other places, situations, and curricula. With this, he also offered valuable advice for college and talked about his experience in college and his current employment at Northrop Grumman which is a large sponsor for the Cyber Patriot competitions 3ncrypt3d is involved in.
