February 16th – Cyber Skyline and Resources
For today’s meeting, the routine of practicing of CTFs has been changed. Coach Smith announced that the hosts of the Mayor’s Cup have sent the game codes so that students can be able to gain access to the Practice Gym.
Each member was able to receive a game code and create accounts for Cyber Skyline. Once they are able to enter the Practice Gym, they were able to look at different challenges from different categories such as Open Source Intelligence, Cryptography, Log Analysis, etc.
After getting everybody into the gym, Coach Smith also made a new announcement about a new resource available on OakHillsTech. A google doc titled Decoders 4 Dummies which was created by Hayden Paumier includes different websites that members can be able to use when it comes to specific problems including Steganography, websites that include help when it comes to brute force, and resources that can verify hashes. With this website, students can be able to be more efficient when it comes to finding tools that can be beneficial to them when it comes to solving different challenges.
