First Encrypted Club Meeting of the 2021-2022 School Year (8/18/21)

On Wednesday, August 18th the first official Encrypted Club Meeting has been held in B-23 with the estimation of 30 members including new and returning members. Looking around the room, there is a variety of students coming from IT classes that include Introduction to Computer Science, IT Essentials, and both CCNA 1 and 2.

The meeting started off with voting for new officers, Isaiah Gutierrez was voted for President, David Forero as Vice President, and Emiliano Guzman as the Chief Technical Officer (a new position that has been offered this year). The voting continues as the club members vote for Nayeli Saldaña for Secretary, Gabriella Alfaro for Treasurer, and Alejandra Aguilera for Historian.

After a few modifications that has been placed to the Constitution, the members of the club went to work right away. Our new Chief Technical Officer was able to take the lead and demonstrate a practice image that helps the new members have an idea of some of the modifications that they have to make to the image in order to gain points for the CyberPatriot Competition that the club will be participating in this year.

At the end of the day, many of the members were able to gain an idea of what they would be participating in and how it could benefit them. At the same time, everyone was able to reconnect with others and make new friendships which can be beneficial when it comes to working together in teams for future competitions.
