April 27th – Aftermath of SoCal Cyber Cup & Computer Giveaway

During this meeting, many of the club members began to discuss what they have seen during the SoCal Cyber Cup and the difficulties that they have had when trying to solve each challenge that they have had in each topic.

After these discussions, the club than began focusing on planning the Computer Giveaway which would be happening at the Project Showcase which would be an event that would show off all electives offered at Oak Hills High School for the Cedar Parent Night.

As said before, the main point of the event is to show off all Electives, Programs, and Classes that are offered at Oak and anybody can participate in the Computer Giveaway. However, the participants must stay until the very end which is when club members would be finished building the computer and the winner would be announced.

The main parts of planning for this event was who was going to build the computer, who was going to show off the skills that is learned in CCNA I and CCNA II, then Intro to Computer Science, and the people who were to converse with the families and direct them to the table.

After a couple of discussions and learning about people’s skills, all roles were decided.
