First Round total Lockout!

The 3ncrypt3d Club recently faced an unusual competition schedule. Typically held on a Saturday morning, this round took place immediately after school on Friday, keeping many competitors on campus for a long 12 hours. The anticipation was palpable, as they’d spent the entire week studying and practicing, gearing up for this moment.

On competition day, all teams achieved a flawless “lockout” on the images, scoring X(200) out of X(200), The best as any team can do—a remarkable feat. This round featured two images: a Linux image running Ubuntu and a Windows image. Cisco’s Packet Tracer was excluded due to ongoing maintenance, and interestingly, the Windows image was Windows 10, not the anticipated Windows 11.

Within 30-40 minutes, DogBytes clinched the first 100 on the Linux image while managing Windows updates in the background. Shortly after, CyberHounds claimed the first 100 on the Windows image, with DogBytes quickly getting that 100 for Windows. With these images completed, DogBytes finished their competition round, and CyberHounds soon wrapped up Linux as well. Meanwhile, OHHSTech completed their Windows image and moved swiftly through Linux, securing a total score of 200 points. WatchDogs and DigitalDogs worked diligently up until the last moments, ultimately securing a perfect 200 within the 4-hour window.

In the end, all five teams achieved an impressive 200/200 within the time limit, showcasing their skills and dedication. An exceptional job by everyone involved!
