SoCal Cyber Finals Round 2026!

SoCal Cyber Cup of the 2025-2026 School Year – 05/9/26

The SoCal Cyber finals round of the 2025-2026 school year has finished! The competition occured on May 9th, running from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The competition continues to stay on Cyber Skyline. This round had the top 8 teams from each of the three school divisions (Middle School, High School, and Colleges). As stated in our previous article, DogBytes is Oak Hill’s competing team this year.

Team Placement

Unfortunately, DogBytes did not make it into the top 3 of the high School division this year. The members were: James C, Ethan M, Jacob O, Paige G, Caleb T, Daniel C, Aaryan V, and Santos Q. Exact placements are unknown as of now, but it was a good effort from our club members!

Team Review

Due to the fact I was not present during this competition I cannot provide much criticism. However, I was given insight from many of the team members, so I will provide insight on their behalf. Teamwork seemed to be lacking during this round as there was severe mishaps that occurred. 3 systems were locked out internally, meaning that they themselves locked themselves out. This could have been prevented with better communication or records of logins used. I do not have any more knowledge on specific person performances, so this is all the input we can give.

Debrief

Despite the performance DogBytes gave, it is an accomplishment we made it to finals again. Great job to all members of DogBytes for making it into the finals round, and an applause to them for giving their best. The year’s competitions has come to an end, so this can serve as fuel for the coming years club members. Thank you to Mr. Smith for being an excellent coach and providing us many resources that aided us in these competitions, and Mr. Canton for providing support during club meetings. We can close this off by wishing good luck to the next years competing teams!
